You will experience game viewing in the Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti National Parks, and in the Ngorongoro Crater. The trip is filled with wonderful sceneries and opportunities to view the big 5, and depending on your time of travel you may see the great herds of wildebeest while they roam the plains. You will stay in comfortable camps, with delicious food.
This particular itinerary does not travel to the North of the Serengeti, where the herds cross the Mara River (July-October), contact us for options should you wish to view the river crossings.
The trip is priced for a family of 4: 2 adults and 2 children age 5-12 years old, sharing a family unit.
Day 1-Airport to Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be welcomed by four Seasons driver thereafter heading to your hotel. The rest of the day will be at leisure. In the evening, after being briefed on preparation for the upcoming safari.
Day 2 – Arusha to Arusha National Park. Game drives and walking tour in the park
Today our safari begins! Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in or around Arusha between 8 to 8:30 AM and take you to Arusha National Park. This is a scenic park with a decent number of animals. The park is at the base of Mount Meru and has a range of habitats including forest – home to the black-and-white colobus monkey – and is excellent for birding. Lakes here often host flocks of flamingo. The park’s appeal is mainly its scenery. After short game drives, we explore the park on foot where you might come across giraffes, buffalos and other animals from a distance. Post the game drive, you will head back to your camp/lodge where a delicious dinner awaits you.
