Expect a ‘safari’ in the good sense – vast stretches of savannah, flat-topped acacia trees delineation against deep shining orange sunsets, thousands of animals streaming across the horizon – this trip is that image made real! Every park gives something unique in wildlife viewing, as well as intimate safari camps and lodges where you can relax each evening. This excellent safari takes you through Tanzania’s ultimate wildlife areas – Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater and the endless plains of the Serengeti.

Short Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival JRO- Transfer Arusha

Day 2 – Arusha to Tarangire. Game drives at Tarangire

Day 3 & 4 – Serengeti National Park

Day 5 & 6 – Ngorongoro Conservation Area & Crater 

Day 7 – Lake Manyara National Park

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL

Once arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) you will be met and transferred to your accommodation to recover from your journey.
Overnight Arusha

DAY 2 – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Safari to Tarangire National Park, taking approximately 3-4 hours. Tarangire is a home to an unusually large elephant population. The most interesting feature in this park are the majestic baobab trees which can be seen. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Enjoy an afternoon game drive.

DAY 3 & 4 – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Once you done having breakfast you will start driving to one of the most fabulous game parks in Africa, the Serengeti, taking approximately 4 hours. Serengeti is the residence to millions of wildebeest during the migration and over the huge flat plains, you are likely to see lions, cheetah, leopards, hyenas,s, and many other small predators. Your guide will select the best wildlife viewing locations for the time of year. Spend time at the hippo pool, watching these enormous animals laze about in the cool water alongside the crocodiles, watch a lion stalking its prey, or be staggered by the scale of the great wildebeest migration. The journey from wide, open plains to the kopjes, volcanic rocky outcrops that provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in-game viewing.
Overnight Serengeti

DAY 5 & 6 – NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA & CRATER

Early in the morning start in the Serengeti to try and find cats before they retreat from the blazing sun during the day. After a few hours of the game, drive travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area where you will spend the night. The Ngorongoro caldera is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. At approximately 20 kilometers across and 600 meters deep, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder. Ngorongoro Crater is unique in that almost all the wildlife lives within the crater walls; hence you have the opportunity to find the game easily. You’ll want to wake early to make the most of your day exploring the crater, where rhino, in particular, can be seen regularly, as well as the pride of lion and other predators like the cheetah.

DAY 7 – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Today drive to Lake Manyara, which will take you around an hour. Named as one of the hidden gems of Tanzania, this park is remarkable for its tree climbing lions and large herds of elephant, which are not shy to come straight up to the vehicle. After lunch you will drive back to Arusha, taking approximately 2-3 hours.

DAY 8 – DEPARTURE

This morning you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in time for your flight.
